Anytime is perfect to make this delicious Peach Salsa, but summertime when peaches are in season is the best time of year! Enjoy as a snack or top many of your favorite dishes including our Asian Spiced Chicken Tacos or spook over fresh grilled salmon and shrimp or pan seared scallops.

Directions

This is an easy recipe! You can also make lots of variations depending on your tastes, ingredients and intended use.

  1. Prepare all ingredients and combine in a bowl

  2. Stir to mix well. cover and let sit for 30 minutes to let flavors combine

  3. Add salt and pepper to taste

Notes and Options:

  1. Don’t have peaches, try nectarines

  2. Don’t like Cilantro? Use Basil

  3. For a hotter salsa, retain some or all of the jalapeño seeds

  4. To take the “sting” out of the red onion, soak the chopped onion in a water/lime juice/salt solution and drain before adding to the rest of the ingredients

Suggested Wine Pairing:

  • Kuhlman Cellars Wine: Kuhlman Cellars Hensell Rosé

  • Avoid tannic red wines as the spice and acidity are likely not a good match

  • Other wines: Try a dry Sauvignon Blanc or a Spanish Albariño.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe peaches, cut into chunks (as finely as you’d like)

  • 2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced

  • 2 TBSP Cilantro, freshly chopped

  • ½ red onion, finely chopped

  • 2 limes, freshly squeezed

  • Salt and pepper to taste
